“The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence

— Norman Vincent Peale

Unlike my other articles in this blog, I’m going to keep this short and simple. This is the only message I would like give you all in this new year to find inner peace to the best level possible. Inner peace is closely related to happiness. From Buddhist philosophy to Mahatma Gandhi and the Dalai Lama, they have all been strong proponents of inner peace.

Introduction

Mathematical modelling and their predictions are used in many fields in the present and the same strategy comes in handy in studying the nature and growth of pandemics as well. Studying the exponential growth, behavioural patterns of the society, modelling the strength of such a disease are some examples for similar use cases. ‘Basic Reproduction Number — (R0)’ is one such parameter that is described in epidemiology which can be used to model, describe and predict the current status of a pandemic. …

Data Representation

Before moving on to more theoretical concepts lets take a look at how we represent data and visualize them. Lets assume that you are watching a movie on your computer or a YouTube video on your phone. As you know we can change the quality of the video being played…

A few weeks back, I stumbled upon an interesting word. A word that carried great meaning as well as a slightly sophisticated connection to some of the concepts that I will address in this article. This article was written to show how deep we can think & discuss even the most regular random thoughts if we give enough attention.

Part I — Sonder

Noun. sonder (uncountable) (neologism) The profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passed in the street, has a life as complex as one’s own, which they are constantly living despite one’s personal lack of awareness of it. Source — Wiktionary

Let’s start from the beginning. I am a person who is curious about the things that I do not learn in college as well as the things I do. Neuroscience and how the brain functions has been one of those passions of mine and I used to watch many documentaries about all sorts of experiments and new research in that field. Even though I am an Electronic & Electrical Engineering student, the more I dug into the enigmatic wonders of our brain the more I fell in love with how beautiful our nervous system is and understood how fortunate we…

In telecommunication the data is transmitted through different types of channels. These channels could be unreliable and noisy due to faulty transmission systems and lines. So the data (bits) transmitted over the computer network could get corrupted due to these network problems & interference. The resultant corrupted bit sequences lead to changes i.e faults in the data received by the receiver.

Demon? From the Bible to the fantasy novels/movies, this creature can be seen frequently in literature and other types of art. Honestly I never thought I’d come across this mythical creature or even something similar, in the “world of science” until last month. When I did, not only I was shocked by the name of the creature but also by the scientist who came up with the concept.

Pierre-Simon Laplace

Pierre-Simon Laplace was a French scholar whose work was important to the development of engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, and philosophy. If you’re related of any of these fields mentioned above, you…

This story can be helpful to the students who need a better understanding about the very basics of Deep Learning & as well as to the students who look for different tips on how to improve their studies. Some of these are patterns which I recognized when I first started studying Deep Learning concepts.

Neuron & Perceptron

Similarity Between Neurons & Perceptrons

Lets start from the very beginning. A neuron is the fundamental unit which the brain is built. There are over 100 billion neurons inside a human brain. Neurons are responsible for everything that we do. Our conscious & subconscious is controlled by these small power stations…

“However ordinary each of us may seem, we are all in some way special, and can do things that are extraordinary, perhaps until then…it was even thought impossible.”― Sir Roger Bannister

This is not a typical motivational story! It’s about using your brain to differentiate hope from idiocy ;)

Hope. What is hope? When I ask this question you might say it is the idea or the thought that makes us believe that an event will give out an expected result. If you’re a student you hope for good grades, if you’re a farmer you hope for a good harvest, if you’re a writer you hope many people will read and love your stories. But a week ago I realized that there’s a whole new side of “hope”. A side which most people use for both good and bad.(Isn’t that the reality of almost everything? …
